Technical FAQs
Do I need to have access to a computer to attend?
Yes. However, based on financial need and eligibility, CAVA may loan a tablet (TK students) or computer (K–12) system (including computer, printer, and software) to support the learning process. These computer systems are instructional property and must be returned when the student leaves the school. CAVA will arrange for technical support and troubleshooting for these systems. Families need to secure their own internet service provider.
What computer skills are required?
The Learning Coach needs to have at least basic computer skills. Computer use is an essential part of the online school program. In the elementary grades, the Learning Coach interacts with the computer the most. Middle and high school students are most successful if they have basic computer skills.
How do I get technical support?
CAVA families needing customer care or technical support for computers or the online school can call 866.512.2273 (select option 2).
What does the computer system loaned by CAVA include?
Computers (K–12) or tablets (TK) loaned by CAVA follow the technical specs listed here.
