Preparing Students for Academic and Athletic Success
Approved high school courses at CAVA meet the high academic standards set by the NCAA, ensuring that student-athletes are prepared for the rigor of college coursework and meet the academic requirements for NCAA eligibility.
Reaching NCAA eligibility ensures your child can compete in collegiate sports and receive athletic scholarships and financial aid.
The NCAA’s eligibility requirements are:
- Graduate from high school
- Complete a minimum of 16 approved NCAA core courses
- Earn a minimum GPA in core courses
- Earn a qualifying test score on the SAT or ACT
- Request a final amateurism certification from the NCAA Eligibility Center
There are additional requirements for Division I student-athletes.
Empowering Student-Athletes With Online Learning
Beyond NCAA-approved courses, CAVA offers student-athletes the opportunity to pursue their athletic goals while staying on track academically. Our personalized learning approach empowers students to learn in a way that fits their athletic lifestyle.
We also help student-athletes manage their time effectively to balance both athletics and academics. Nevertheless, our credentialed teachers always provide support, instruction, and guidance to ensure students stay on track for graduation.
