School Announcements

Representing CAVA in the 4–6th grade category are Robomasters:

  • Minh An, 4th grade CAVA-San Diego

Representing CAVA in the 7–9th grade category are The Cogsmiths:

  • Noah, 9th grade CAVA–Sutter
  • Katherine, 9th grade CAVA–Fresno
  • Matthew, 9th grade CAVA–San Joaquin

The road to the finals included three virtual rounds: a friendly exhibition round followed by two competitive qualifying rounds. In each round, teams programmed their robots to complete in timed challenges with speed and precision.

Robomasters had a strong start in the first round, placing sixth with a solid time of 00:13.411. They picked up the pace in round two, landing in first place with a time of 00:18.895. And just like that, the Robomasters secured their spot in the finals.

The Cogsmiths kept things exciting in the 7–9th grade category. They kicked things off with a fourth-place finish and a fast time of 00:12.291, then came back in round two with a first-place finish at 01:29.667. That performance sealed the deal and earned them a spot in the final round.

Robomasters and The Cogsmiths will join the top three teams in each grade band, 4–6, 7–9, and 10–12, to compete for the national championship title. In the final in-person round, these finalists will bring their skills to the real world by coding physical robots on a competition mat.

It all comes down to this: one day, one challenge, and one chance to become national champions. Winners in each grade category will receive $500, a K12 Robotics trophy, and the title of national champion.

We’re cheering on Robomasters and The Cogsmiths as they get ready to represent CAVA on the national stage! With the big day in Virginia just around the corner, let’s show our support and celebrate everything these teams have accomplished.

Go, Robomasters and The Cogsmiths—we’re rooting for you!
